University Chants in the News

Well, look at me. On the radio. The only problem is, I only scratched the surface. I’m going to post my MA in a separate post too. In the light of many of the things going on with the news cycle about university chants coming from SMU and UBC, it seems like some people could benefit from learning more about the traditions and perhaps explore if there is a middle ground in university rites of passage that allows it to retain some meaning, but comes from a place of sexual empowerment rather than what can sometimes be described as sexist ritual humiliation.

Feel free to ask questions and make comments.
